It’s not a good match for the current titles in the genre, so won’t be used, but I loved it so much that I wanted to share it. (Also, I may have spent rather more time on it than I ought to have.)

It was inspired by a very old copy of Forerunner Foray (it was written in the mid 70s, and I read it around 1993), by Andre Norton – unfortunately, I can’t find an image of it, but I checked it out of the school library in seventh or eighth grade at least 10 times (Thanks Mrs. Allen!). Andre Norton’s stuff was so formative when I was just starting to read science fiction and fantasy, and I still enjoy the worlds she created.

I wrote 22,116 words on City of Stars, and another 4212 on outlines, editing, and upcoming projects. I published 18 chapters on Kindle Vella, and kept up on our social media. My wife, LV Greer, got our Patreon launched over at Five of Quills, and we’re all set to publish her first book this summer, Blood Guilt (season 1 now complete on Kindle Vella)- I’ll post the preorder information as soon as we have it!

In May, I hope to do even more. City of Stars should wrap up in June, and we’ll be on to new projects in the summer!
